It’s only fitting I continue my fascination with MM L’Incognito sunglasses…

Pics from Facehunter and Garance Dore. The girl is like a posterchild for MM. I can’t believe I’m still carrying on with this.. they are ridiculous…

Speaking of ridiculous I was at Nom D the other day and spotted this beauty:

Bernard Willhelm/Linda Farrow sunglasses. And only $220! This coming from a guy who demands $550 for a harlequin print cotton carrier bag…

MMM? HMMM?

Maison Martin Margiela silver gift bow ring, £125.00. From Browns.

Yazbukey leather bow brooch, $100 and $77 respectively. The tartan one is cheaper because it only has a leather backing, GOSH! From Order + Progress.

And here we have this insightful one-plus-one from Vogueite:

Martin Margiela L’Incognito sunglasses, 2008

Thierry Mugler spring 1999 show.

Looks like a constant hug, mmmm. I could do with one of those today

3.1 Phillip Lim fringe dress. Sigh…..

I have been sick for a while because it was flu shot season, but now I am better! and should be finishing my essays…. Dad and I went opshopping today and we covered part of the west side, from Moonee Ponds to Newport. Pics to come, hell yeah!

Selling a story

Blanch is a felt brooch. More accurately, Blanch has big hair and when she is older she hopes to form a group called “The Golden Girls”. Meanwhile, Alicia wants to run away and join the circus. She thinks she could walk a tightrope but has only ever practiced on the end of her bed. Little Ladies felt badges by Anna Laura, $20, Rose St Market

Pigeon racing ring necklaces from Chinny Chin Chin. Comes with tasty pigeon bio! Fancy Mr T (centre)? He’s 19 years old, like Nice and Malted biscuits and dislikes vegetables. Available at Craft Victoria, $42. (or cheaper if you’re my pal, hehehe)

From this blog (and also this one too!) which I quote: History, located in Cambridge’s Porter Square, is like the storefront version of my tale-telling tendencies. To accompany each piece, owner Rachel Hirsch imaginatively cooks up detailed anecdotes of the previous wearers and prints them out on hangtags.

Blindfold

and in real life:

I could be a walking fashion-don’t in these! No need to black out my eyes, they’re already done thanks.  Martin Margiela L’Incognito sunglasses, I have no idea where to get them from.

Tantalising Topshop

28 April 2008

I’ve been eyeing this little number for a while now:

Topshop Petite ombre print dress.

And I’ve been lusting over it, admiring its faux tie dye effect and grey+pink combination (mmm!). And I’ve spent just as much time justifying whether it is worth £50.00 (probably not) but it has just gone on sale and is now £25.00! More pondering ensued: “Is postage too expensive at £10? Maybe I should get cousin Cat to get it for me. How will I sweet talk her? I should have replied to all those joke emails she sends me…”

I finally decided I will get it (hurrah!), and went to the drop box to pick my size and lo and behold! IT IS SOLD OUT. baaaaaah grumpy! To top it off, Facehunter dangles this in front of me

TAKE OFF YOUR DRESS AND GIVE IT TO ME NOW!!!

Chanel vs. Gucci

20 March 2008

The 8 speed bike is part of Chanel’s spring/summer 2008 collection and features a quilted leather seat and saddlebag emblazoned with the double-c Chanel logo. Cost: US$12,600. Why is this so expensive??? For the same amount you could probably buy a small car (I assume) so to get this bike instead seems like a such an overstatement of your commitment to the environment and fashion I guess.

The Gucci bike is a limited edition bike specially created to coincide with the 2008 Beijing Olympics and is a steal at US$3,420!

This video is so rad! I like her clothes (styled by this lady) especially the combo of yellow high waisted pencil skirt, electric blue socks and red heels. I tried a combo of that a while ago but it was different: I had a black Michelle Robinson dress on, and electric blue leggings pulled down to look like stirrup tights, translucent yellow nylon socks tucked under the leggings and red vintage heels that were a half size too big for me so I felt like I was running around in someone else’s shoes all night (which I kinda was anyway). But I wish I had taken a photo! Who’s going to believe me now…

I wore it to the Penthouse Mouse opening last month or something. I really liked the idea of wearing socks under leggings though! Two-toned feet, mmm. Maybe everyone else will cotton on someday. or not.
